The recommendation of the Water Pollution Control Plant
Superintendent to refuse all bids for a used bucket machine was
reviewed. It was moved by Getty, seconded by Klinger to accept the
recommendation. Motion carried.
After discussion, it was moved by Klinger, seconded by Getty to
approve the request of the Water Pollution Control Plant
Superintendent to purchase a portable air compressor to replace a
1958 model in an approximate amount of $10,750.00. Motion carried.
It was moved by Getty, seconded by Dowie to authorize the Water
Pollution Control Plant Superintendent to purchase equipment for
Highway Substitution Sewer Survey work. Motion carried.
It was moved by Getty, seconded by Dowie to authorize Water Pollution
Control Plant Superintendent to take bids on 1,000 bags of portland
cement for catch basin and manhold repair. Motion carried.
The request of the Sign & Traffic Department to purchase 4x4 wooden
posts for sign installation in the amount of was reviewed.
It was moved by Klinger, seconded by Dowie to approve this request.
Motion carried.

The request of the Waterloo Recreation Center to purchase a used 1977
Zamboni Machine was reviewed. With a trade-in of $2,000, the
purchase price will be $15,000.00 (Specialties, Inc. of Minneapolis).
It was moved by Getty, seconded by Klinger to approve the purchase.
Motion carried.
The request of the parochial schools to extend cable to them in the
amount of $11,394.00 was reviewed. This item would complete the loop
system and allow for the interconnection of all public and parochial
schools. It was moved by Getty, seconded by Dowie to approve this
expenditure. Motion carried.
It was moved by Getty, seconded by Dowie to approve the following
requisitions and bills contained in Bills Resolution No. 1984-72
approved by the City Council on February 27, 1984:
WPCP 12539 Weber Electric Inc. $400.00
12541 Swaney Equipment Co. $761.00
12065 Davis Electronics Inc. $700.46
Elec. 11754 General Traffic Controls $3,650.00
