January 3, 1984
6:30 p.m.
Vice Chair Getty in the Chair.
Members present: Getty, Klinger.
The request of the Central Garage to purchase a kerosene space
heater in an amount not to exceed $300.00 was reviewed. Larry
Cunningham, Superintendent, stated that it was not a budgeted item.
Concern was heard an the safety aspect of the heater. It was moved
by Klinger, seconded by Getty that the request be approved, subject
to consultation with the Fire Department. Motion carried.
It was moved by Klinger, seconded by Getty to authorize the Sign and
Traffic Department to take bids on traffic paint. Motion carried.
It was moved by Klinger, seconded by Getty that the Police DepaLLwent
be authorized to acquire a vehicle and motorcycle from the State of
Iowa in conjunction with the January 1983 Drug Round-Up. Motion
carried.
With no further business before the Committee, the meeting was
adjourned.
