Chairman Dawie presiding. Also present: Bowers and Wilharm.
The request of the Street Department to purchase two (2) 1976
Model 670 John Deere graders from Poweshiek County in the amount
of $57,140.00 (with trade-in) was reviewed. It was moved by
Bowers, seconded by Wilharm to approve the expenditure.
Motion carried.
It was moved by Wilharm, seconded by Bowers to purchase
twenty-five sets of raingear in the amount of approximately
$700.00. Motion carried.
Curt Parsons, Building Official, presented a five year proposal
with Honeywell Building Services for maintenance of City Hall
boilers. Prior to approval of the proposal, a cancellation
clause by either party will be included. Total contract cost
is $2,001.00. It was moved by Wilharm, seconded by Bowers
that proposal be approved. Motion carried.
It was moved by Bowers, seconded by Wilharm that the following
requisitions be approved:
Building 10916 Lindgren Glass Products 450.00
Electric 10564 Crescent Electric Supply $2,681.00
10566 General Traffic Controls 759.60
10562 Kies Electric Supply Co. 1,839.20
10563 Kies Electric Supply Co. 808.00
WPCP 10663 Robbins Myers 1,987.51
Motion carried.
Bruce Bottorff, Superintendent of Water Pollution Control Plant,
reported on a Resolution which the full Council will be
considering at its meeting on December 19, 1983. The
Resolution (No. 1983-626) deals with the Industrial Pretreatment
Program to be funded and implemented by the city of Waterloo.
This was presented for the purposes of information.
With no further business before the Committee, the meeting
was adjourned.
