It was moved by Roehr, seconded by Bowers to authorize the taking of bids on Used Bucket Machine for the Sewer Department. Motion carried. The request to purchase a salt spreader for the Street Department was delayed. Personnel Director, Roger Mogle, requested that he be authorized to take bids on a typewriter to replace a used model. It was moved by Bowers, seconded by Roehr to authorize this request. Motion carried. Clerk/Auditor, Larry P. Burger, reported on the request of Walter A. Neyerhoff for a garbage refund in the amount of $50.40 for the period of time from October, 1982 thru October, 1983. The home was vacant during this time. It was moved by Roehr, seconded by Bowers to approve said refund. Notion carried. It was moved by Roehr, seconded by Bowers to approve the following requisitions: Fire Department 10312 Heiman, Inc. $ 777.00 Electrical 9947 Kies Electric Supply 2,963.52 'RCP 9988 Wassam Company 1,532.00 9990 Weber Electric 623.00 9987 Utility Equipment Co. 500.00 Motion carried. Garage Superintendent, Larry Cunningham, requested permission to purchase two (2) used highway spreaders from Buchanan County in the amount of $700.00 each. The purchase of a new spreader will need to be re-evaluated after receipt of bids. It was moved by Roehr, seconded by Bowers to authorize the purchase of the above described used spreaders. Motion carried. Superintendent of the Water Pollution Control Plant, Bruce Bottorff, reported the need for an emergency repair of the force main on the Sans Souci Bridge. Depending on type of repair required, cost could range from $3,000 - $5,800. It was moved by Roehr, seconded by Bowers to authorize its repair. Motion carried.
