HomeMy WebLinkAbout07/05/1983 FINANCE COMMITTEE July 5, 1983 6:30 p.m. The following bids were reviewed for replacement of ladder pipe on Aerial for the Fire Department: Bidder Amount 1) Clarey's Safety Equipment, Inc. $837.50 2) Heiman $889.00 3) Wayne A. Wilson $958.58 The Fire Chief recommended that the low bid of Clarey's Safety Equipment Inc. , be accepted. It was moved by Wilharm, seconded by Bowers that the above recommendation be approved. Motion carried. Due to the possible conflict of interest, Chairman Dowie turned the next order of business over to Councilman Bowers. City Attorney Tyler reported that he and several others had reviewed the City's Errors and Omissions Liability Insurance Coverage. An increase in the limits of the liability of this policy was recommended to be increased to $10,000,000. It was moved by Wilharm, seconded by Roehr to approve this recommendation. Motion carried. Chairman Dowie resumed Chairmanship of the meeting. It was moved by Roehr, seconded by Wilharm to authorize the purchase of a building located north of Mitchell Avenue and east of U.S. Highway 218, currently owned by the Iowa Department of Transportation for use by the Water Pollution Control Facility. Motion carried. It was moved by Bowers, seconded by Wilharm to approve the following requisitions and pay authorizations: (See Attached List) Motion carried.
