Mayor's Conference Room
Members present: Bowers, Wilharm, Roehr.
The bids were reviewed for a 1983 carry-all type truck for the Fire
Department:
Bidder Amount
George Morris Chev. $11,803.76
It was moved by Wilharm, seconded by Bowers to approve the
recommendation of the Fire Department to approve said bid in the
amount of $11,803.76. Motion carried.
The bids were reviewed for a Cab Chassis for the Street Department:
Bidder Amount
Crossroads Ford $91,544.00
Donovan Internat' l Trucks $105,546.00
George Morris Chevrolet No Bid
Discussion was heard on the recommendation to accept the low bid,
even though it did not meet specifications.
It was moved by Wilharm to accept the high bid of Donovan
International Trucks. The motion died for lack of a second.
Following further discussion, it was moved by Bowers, seconded by
Wilharm to reject all bids and rewrite the specifications. Motion
carried.
Councilman Bowers, Chairman of the Building & Grounds Committee,
recommended approval of the request of the Clerk/Auditor for painting
of the office furniture and painting of the doorways and inside of
the elevators. It was moved by Bowers, seconded by Wilharm to
approve the above request not to exceed $2,500.00. Motion carried.
Discussion was delayed on Sewer Rental Fees and Policy Changes until
5:30 p.m. on May 9, 1983. Informational material was distributed
pursuant to this item.
With no further business before the Committee, the meeting was
adjourned.
