HomeMy WebLinkAbout03/07/1983 FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING niarcl, February 7, 1983 6:30 p.m. Mayor's Conference Room The Finance Committee of the City of Waterloo, Iowa met in the Mayor's Conference Room in City Hall at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 7 , 1983. Members present were: Roehr, Wilharm, Bowers and Dowie. The Mayor reviewed a proposed travel policy for all city employees. Mayor Rooff reported that many of the current practices will now be in writing. It was moved by Bowers, seconded by Roehr to recommend to the City Council that said policy be approved. Motion carried. The request of the Street Department to purchase 10,000 gallons of oil was reviewed. The purchase of additional oil for use in the summer oiling program was discussed. It was moved by Roehr, seconded by Wilharm that 20,000 gallons of oil be purchased. Motion carried. Councilman Getty reported that he and the mayor had reviewed the repair of the lift station on Hawthorne Avenue. Repairs will be made when soil conditions are more suitable.
