RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF MAIN STREET
WATERLOO, WATERLOO COMMUNITY SCHOOLS AND THE
CITY OF WATERLOO TO HOLD THE FUN RUN AGAINST
THE MAYOR EVENT ON SEPTEMBER 16, 2010.
WHEREAS, Main Street Waterloo, Waterloo Community Schools
and the City of Waterloo have requested that they be allowed to
hold the Fun Run Against the Mayor Event on September 16, 2010,
and
WHEREAS, said event will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00
p.m. at Lincoln Park, with a 1 -mile fun run against the Mayor to
begin and end at Lincoln Park, including closing 4th Street from
Franklin Street to Mulberry Street from 7:00 a.m. to noon, Park
Avenue from Franklin Street to Mulberry Street from 8:00 a.m. to
noon, and the parking lane only on Mulberry Street between 4th
Street and Park Avenue on the Lincoln Park side from 7:00 a.m. to
noon, and also 4th Street and Park Avenue from Franklin Street to
Jefferson Street, and the side streets within that area between
5th Street to 3rd Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Main Street Waterloo,
Waterloo Community Schools and the City of Waterloo to hold the
Fun Run Against the Mayor Event on September 16, 2010 from 9:30
a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Lincoln Park, with a 1 -mile fun run to
begin and end at Lincoln Park, including closing 4th Street from
Franklin Street to Mulberry Street from 7:00 a.m. to noon, Park
Avenue from Franklin Street to Mulberry Street from 8:00 a.m. to
noon, and the parking lane only on Mulberry Street between 4th
Street and Park Avenue on the Lincoln Park side from 7:00 a.m. to
noon, and also 4th Street and Park Avenue from Franklin Street to
Jefferson Street, and the side streets within that area between
5th Street to 3rd Street, be and the same is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of August, 2010.
