Mayor's Conference Room
The Finance Committee of the City of Waterloo, Iowa met in the
Mayor' s Conference Room in City Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December
20, 1982.
Members present were: Dowie, Roehr, Wilharm, and Bowers.
The bids were reviewed on the Aerial Manlift Articulating Unit.
Representatives from Badger Body Equipment and Morrison Equipment
Company were present. Each representative gave their reasoning as to
why their particular bid should be accepted by the City. It was
pointed out that each company met or exceeded the specifications.
The staff recommendations were reviewed. After considerable
discussion it was moved by Wilharm, seconded by Bowers to accept the
high bid of Morrison Equipment Company in the amount of $11,500.00.
The following vote was tabulated Ayes: Bowers, Burton. Nays: Dowie,
Wilharm.
Motion not carried.
The Mayor then recommended that the Council consider this
item at the Council meeting to be held December 20, 1982. (see CR
83467 of 12/20/82).
The request for authorization to take bids on renovation of the
Public Library for the Human Rights Commission was discussed. It was
moved by Wilharm, seconded by Bowers that authorization to take bids
be given. Motion carried.
It was moved by Bowers, seconded by Roehr that the following bills be
paid:

With no further business before the committee, the meeting was
adjourned.
