The Finance Committee of the City of Waterloo, Iowa met in the
Mayor ' s Conference Room in City Hall at 6 : 30 p .m. on Monday , August
23 , 1982.
Present : Wilharm, Roehr , Bowers , and Dowie.
The following bids were received for Police Department cars :

Ford Futura $7 , 229. 98
Full Size $9 , 469 . 40
It was moved by Wilharm, seconded by Roehr, to refer the above bids
to the Police Department for review and recommendation .
Motion carried.
The City Engineer ' s Office reported that the following bids were
received for the FY 1983 Klingaman Knolls Seal Coat Program:

Rohlin Const . Co. , Inc . $7 , 046 . 72
Dale J . Clark Contracting $9 , 967 . 40
It was recommended that the low bid of Rohlin Construction Co .
Inc. , be approved. It was moved by Wilharm, seconded by Roehr to
accept this recommendation .
Motion carried.
The City Engineer ' s Office reported that the following bids were
received for the FY 1983 Cedar Terrace Seal Coat Program:

Rohlin Const . Co. , Inc . $21 , 492. 80
Dale J . Clark Contracting $28 , 987 . 00
It was recommended that the low bid of Rohlin Construction Co. , Inc . ,
be approved. It was moved by Bowers , seconded by Wilharm to accept
this recommendation .
Motion carried.
Fire Chief Olson requested authorization to take bids on bunker
pants (protective clothing ) . This is a budgeted item. It was moved
by Roehr, seconded by Bowers to authorize the taking of bids .
Motion carried.
It was moved by Bowers , seconded by Wilharm to authorize the taking
of bids for repair to the Reliance Steam Cleaner ( Sewer Dept . ) .

It was moved by Roehr, seconded by Wilharm to approve the
payment of the following bills :

ENGINEERING 9795 Int ' l Business Mach . $1107 . 00
SEWER 9063 Neenah Foundry $2812 . 18
Motion carried.
Councilman Bowers , Chairman of the Building & Grounds Committee ,
reported that the committee recommended that a damper fan be placed
in the rear of the Council Chambers for circulation purposes . It was
moved by Roehr, seconded by Bowers to approve this improvement .
Motion carried .
