The Finance Committee of the City of Waterloo, Iowa met in the Mayor ' s
Conference Room in City Hall at 6 : 30 P.M . on June 21 , 1982.
Council Member Dowie presiding officer.
On Roll Call : Dowie , Wilharm, Bowers , Roehr
Under Unfinished Business , the F . Y . 1983 Radio Maintenance Agreement was
discussed. It was moved by Wilharm, seconded by Bowers to recommend to the
City Council that the bid of Iowa Radio Service , Inc. at a monthly rate of
$1 , 631 . 75 be accepted. Motion carried .
Additionally , it was moved by Roehr, seconded by Wilharm that an alternative
method be investigated in regard to next year ' s radio maintenance contract .
Motion carried.
The request of the Waterloo Police Department for purchase of winter
uniforms was reviewed. It was moved by Roehr, seconded by Wilharm to
authorize the taking of bids on the above item. Motion carried .
The request of the Waterloo Fire Department for authorization to take bids
on protective headgear was reviewed . It was moved by Wilharm, seconded by
Bowers to authorize said bid taking. Motion carried.
The request of the Police Department to pay Crossroads Ford $35 , 400 for the
purchase of the twelve ( 12) leased vehicles for the Plain Clothes Division
was reviewed . It was moved by Roehr , seconded by Bowers to table discussion
on this item until Monday , June 28 , 1982. Motion carried.
It was moved by Roehr , seconded by Wilharm to approve payment of the
following bills :

Motion carried.
There being no further business before the Committee , the meeting
