HomeMy WebLinkAbout03/01/1982 FINANCE COMMITTEE March 1, 1982 City Hall Waterloo, Iowa The Finance Committee of the City of Waterloo, Iowa met in the Mayor's Conference Room in City Hall at 6:30 P.M. on March 1, 1982. Council Member Dowie presiding officer. On Roll Call : Dowie, Wilharm, Bowers, Roehr The Sign and Traffic Department recommended that the paint bid of Prismo Universal Corporation in the total amount of $9,472.00 be approved. The paint will be tested for durability. It was moved by Wilharm, seconded by Bowers to approve this recommendation. The motion carried. Larry Burger, City Clerk, requested authorization to take bids on microfilm equipment. It will be utilized by various departments including the Police Department. The need for microfilming has been prompted due to the increasing demand for storage space within City Hall . Microfilm has the ability to be kept over a period of years, as well as being a legal form of preservation. It was moved by Wilharm, seconded by Roehr to authorize the taking of bids. The motion carried. It was moved by Roehr, seconded by Wilharm to approve payment of the following bills: DEPT. P.O. VENDOR AMT. Garage 8433 Altorfer Machinery $416.08 Street 8610 Newkirk Sales 319.91 Water Pollution 8636 Iowa Custom Machine 534.00 The motion carried. Virgil Graybill , Superintendent of Motor Vehicle Parking, requested authorization to spend $2,000.00 to buy parts for parking meters. It was moved by Roehr, seconded by Bowers to authorize this expenditure. The motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at 6:40 P.M. Larry P. Burger City Clerk
