The Finance Committee of the City of Waterloo, Iowa met in the Council Chambers
City Hall at 6:30 P.M. on February 15, 1982.
Council Member Dowie presiding officer.
On Roll Call : Wilharm, Roehr, Dowie
Absent: Bowers
The following bids were received for a truck for the Sign and Traffic Department:

It was moved by Roehr, seconded by Wilharm to refer the above bids to the Sign and
Traffic Department for review and recommendation. The motion carried.
Under old business, the hose bids received by the Fire Department were reviewed. The
Fire Chief stated that the bids of Smeal Fire Equipment and Kimmey Fire and Safety
Company were identical and both were from within the state. Following the flip of a
coin, it was moved by Wilharm, seconded by Roehr to approve the bid of Smeal Fire
Equipment in the amount of $2,580.00. The motion carried.
Virgil Graybill , Superintendent of Motor Vehicle Parking Facilities, stated problems
still exist with the freezing of pipes in the West Side Rama Repairs would cost
$800.00. It was moved by Roehr, seconded by Wilharm to approve this expenditure. The
motion carried.
Mayor Rooff asked for authorization to transfer funds in the amount of $1,526.00 from the
Crime Commission to the Criminal Justice Information System Fund. It was moved by
Wilhar, seconded by Roehr to approve this transfer. The motion carried.
It was moved by Roehr, seconded by Wilharm to approve payment of the following bills :
