The Finance Committee of the City of Waterloo, Iowa met in the Mayor' s
Conference Room in City Hall at 6 : 30 P.M. on January 18, 1982 .
Council Member Dowie presiding officer.
On Roll Call: Dowie , Wilharm, Bowers , Roehr
The recommendation of the Police Department on the purchase of an electric
typewriter was reviewed. It was moved by Wilharm, seconded by Roehr to
approve their recommendation to purchase the unit from Iowa Business
Machines Inc . in the amount of $1,015 . 75 . The motion carried.
The request of the Sign and Traffic Department for authorization to
purchase a truck was reviewed. The truck is a non-budgeted item, but is
needed to replace the truck that was damaged in an accident. It was
moved by Roehr, seconded by Bowers to authorize the taking of bids as
requested above. The motion carried.
It was moved by Roehr, seconded by Wilharm to approve payment of the
following bills :
