Agreement) Dave Boesen questioned if the walls were hardened and if not, what good is a bulletproof door. Greg Ahlhelm, Building Official, explained that they can only do one thing at a time with the monies that are available, and that the reconstruction of the walls will come at a later date. Dave Boesen questioned if the need to replace lights was due to a speed problem. Jamie Knutson, City Engineer, explained that the lights are placed appropriately but people are just going too fast for the roundabouts. He has asked AECOM to review specs to see if the lights can be pulled back even further, but of course, there will be a cost to do so. 100785 - Grieder/Boesen that the project budget for the Iowa DOT Commercial Aviation Infrastructure Fund Grant, in the amount of $2,197,573.00, as submitted by the Airport, be approved. Voice vote - Ayes: Three. Motion carried. 100786 - Grieder/Boesen that the project budget for the Highway Safety Grant, funded with federal funds of $50,400.00 to be used for traffic safety enforcement activities, as submitted by the Police Department, be approved. Voice vote - Ayes: Three. Motion carried. 100787 - Amos/Grieder that Bills Payment, as contained in Accounts Payable Invoice Report, dated September 12, 2022, in the amount of $2,789,695.35 and September 19, 2022, in the amount $3,693,848.93, be received, placed on file and approved and forwarded to the full council for approval.
