RESOLUTION APPROVING A FARM LEASE AGREEMENT
WITH LANEHAVEN FARMS, INC. TO FARM
APPROXIMATELY 169.91 ACRES OF LAND FROM MARCH
1, 2023 TO FEBRUARY 29, 2024, LOCATED AT THE
SOUTHEAST CORNER OF HIGHWAY 20 AND
ANSBOROUGH AVENUE, IN THE AMOUNT OF $300.00 PER
ACRE, FOR A TOTAL YEARLY PAYMENT OF $50,973.00,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
that the Farm Lease Agreement dated October 3, 2022, between Lanehaven Farms, Inc. and the
City of Waterloo, Iowa, to farm approximately 169.91 acres of land from March 1, 2023 to
February 29, 2024, located at the southeast corner of Highway 20 and Ansborough Avenue, in
the amount of $300.00 per acre, for a total yearly payment of $50,973.00, is hereby approved,
and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the
City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of October 2022.
