HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-407-09.07.1982 RESOLUTION NO. 1982-407 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF A CERTAIN PARCEL TO CAROL ENNENGA, IN EXCHANGE FOR THE CONVEYANCE OF A PARCEL TO THE CITY OF WATERLOO. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is the owner of real property in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, as described below, and WHEREAS, Carol Ennenga is the owner of real property in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, as described below, and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on September 7, 1982 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, City Hall , Waterloo, Iowa as provided by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on the proposal to dispose of property, described below, in exchange for property owned by Carol Ennenga, and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, that said disposition and conveyance should be made as proposed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The following described real property as fully described in the published notice in the Waterloo Courier on August 20, 1982, not presently needed and will not be needed in the foreseeable future for municipal purposes and its ownership is serving no Municipal purpose and will be conveyed to Carol Ennenga. All of Lots 1, 2 & 30 Block 16, Riverview Addition, Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa. All of the vacated alley in Block 16, Riverview Addition, Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa. And all that part of Lots 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29, Block 16; vacated Kenyon Avenue lying East of the East Line of Power Street: All in Riverview addition, Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa; and lying West of the following described line which is 10 feet West and Southwest of the toe of the Flood Control Dike: Beginning at a Point on the South Line of Lot 18 in said block 16, which point is 32.36 feet East of the Southwest corner of Lot 18 in said Block 16; thence North 1 degree 49' 40" East a distance of 220.27 feet: thence 87 degrees 59' 00" East a distance of 37.66 feet: thence North 0 degrees 54' 10" west a distance of 338.06 feet; The bearings are based on the assumption that the West Line of Lot 16 bears North and South. 2. That the City of Waterloo, Iowa, convey said parcel of real property to Carol Ennenga, by Quit Claim Deed. 3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute and deliver a Quit Claim Deed to Carol Ennenga. 4. That the original of said deed fully execute and acknowledged having been submitted with this Resolution, the same is hereby approved and confirmed by the Council . 11 ,-D -ate! Twenty-one (21) , Twenty-two (22) , Twenty-three (23) , and Twenty-Four (24), in Block No. Two (2); Lot No. Eleven (11) and the South Thirteen (13) feet of Lot No. Twelve (12) in Block No. Twenty (20) and north Twenty-four (24) feet of Lot No. Fourteen (14) n feet of Lot No. Fifteen (15) in Block No. Twenty (20) ; Lots Nos. a Forty-five (45), Forty-six (46), Forty-seven (47) and Forty-eight • Cz (48) in Block No. Twenty-four (24) ; All in Riverview Addition in the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
