RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF FIRE CHIEF TO
HOLD BOOT BLOCK FOR MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY
ASSOCIATION (MDA) ON SEPTEMBER 3-6, 2010 FROM
10:00 A.M. TO 2:00 P.M. AT THE INTERSECTIONS
OF FRANKLIN AND EAST 3RD STREETS, ANSBOROUGH
AND DOWNING AVENUES, KIMBALL AND RIDGEWAY
AVENUES, AND LAPORTE ROAD AND SAN MARNAN
DRIVE.
WHEREAS, it has been the tradition of Waterloo Firefighters
Local #66 to help the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) with a
Boot Block, and
WHEREAS, the Fire Chief is requesting that said Muscular
Dystrophy Association (MDA) Boot Block be held September 3-6,
2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the intersections of
Franklin and East 3rd Streets, Ansborough and Downing Avenues,
Kimball and Ridgeway Avenues, and LaPorte Road and San Marnan
Drive.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of the Fire Chief to hold a Boot
Block for Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) on September 3-6,
2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the intersections of
Franklin and East 3rd Streets, Ansborough and Downing Avenues,
Kimball and Ridgeway Avenues, and LaPorte Road and San Marnan
Drive, be and the same is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 27th day of August, 2010.
