RESOLUTION NO. 2022-639
RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCE TO NOISE
ORDINANCE REQUEST FROM EMILY NYREN, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE WATERLOO LIGHTS THE
NIGHT EVENT, TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 26, 2022
FROM 6:00 P.M. TO 8:00 P.M., FROM THE TOP OF THE
PARKING GARAGE BEHIND SUB CITY AND NEWTON'S
PARADISE CAFE'.
WHEREAS, Emily Nyren is requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance on November
26, 2022 beginning at 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in conjunction with the Waterloo Lights the Night
event, to be held from the top of the parking garage behind Sub City and Newton's Paradise Cafe,
and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of the Emily Nyren, for a variance to the Noise
Ordinance, November 26, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in conjunction with the Waterloo
Lights the Night event, to be held from the top of the parking garage behind Sub City and
Newton's Paradise Cafe', including music, speakers and fireworks display, be hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of October 2022.
