A RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE SALE
AND CONVEYANCE OF A PORTION OF THE PROPERTY GENERALLY
BOUNDED BY LAFAYETTE STREET , EAST 6TH STREET ,
MULBERRY STREET , AND THE RAILROAD TRACKS , AS APRIL 5 ,
1982 , AT 7 : 00 P .M. IN CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS ,
WATERLOO , IOWA AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO
PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF HEARING .
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO , IOWA ,
AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1 - That the Council of the City of Waterloo , Iowa
shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of Waterloo ,
Iowa at 7 : 00 P.M . , on the 5th day of April , 1982 , for the purpose
of considering and acting upon a proposal to sell and convey a
portion of the property generally bounded by Lafayette Street ,
East 6th Street , Mulberry Street , and the railroad tracks to Black
Hawk County for the proposes of construction of a correctional
facility owned by the City of Waterloo , Iowa , described as
follows :
The southwesterly fifty-five ( 55 ) feet of Lot Six (6 ) and
all of Lots Seven ( 7 ) and Ten ( 10 ) , Block Twenty-six ( 26 ) ,
Original Plat Waterloo East , lying northwesterly of a line
parallel with and a distance of twenty-five ( 25 ) feet northwesterly
from the main track of the Chicago and Northwestern Transportation
Co. , in the City of Waterloo , Black Hawk County , Iowa .
With a minimum bid of $55 ,000 . 00 .
Section 2 - That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo
Courier.
Passed and adopted this 15th day of March , 1982 .
