RESOLUTION NO. 2022-673
RESOLUTION APPROVING SUBMISSION OF A GRANT
APPLICATION, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$2,000,000.00, FOR A STRENGTHENING MOBILITY AND
REVOLUTIONIZING TRANSPORTATION (SMART) GRANT,
WITH ZERO CITY MATCH, AND IN POSSIBLE
PARTNERSHIP AND/OR COLLABORATION WITH INRCOG
AND INDUSTRY.
WHEREAS, the Public Works Division Manager has requested permission to submit a
Strengthening Mobility and Revolutionizing Transportation (SMART) Grant, in an amount not to
exceed $2,000,000.00, with zero city match, to initiate a pilot SMART corridor in the city,
and in possible partnership and/or collaboration with INRCOG and industry.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the submission of a Strengthening Mobility and Revolutionizing
Transportation (SMART) Grant, in an amount not to exceed $2,000,000.00, with zero city match,
to initiate a pilot SMART corridor in the city, and in possible partnership and/or collaboration
with INRCOG and industry, is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of November 2022.
