RESOLUTION NO. 2022-710
RESOLUTION AWARDING BID TO B & B LAWN CARE, INC., OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $28.48 PER
LOT/OCCURRENCE, APPROVING THE CONTRACT AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE
2022-2023 RESIDENTIAL/MISCELLANEOUS AREAS SNOW
REMOVAL CONTRACT FOR CITY OWNED LOTS GENERALLY
ACQUIRED THROUGH IOWA CODE 657A, AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, B & B Lawn Care, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in the amount of
$28.48 per lot/occurrence, in conjunction with the 2022-2023 Residential/Miscellaneous Areas
Snow Removal Contract for city owned lots generally acquired through Iowa Code 657A, and is
the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, B & B Lawn Care, Inc. submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of
insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2022-683, after public hearing on November 7, 2022, in conjunction with the
2022-2023 Residential/Miscellaneous Areas Snow Removal Contract for city owned lots
generally acquired through Iowa Code 657A.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of B & B Lawn Care, Inc. in the amount of $28.48 per lot/occurrence, in
conjunction with the 2022-2023 Residential/Miscellaneous Areas Snow Removal Contract
for city owned lots generally acquired through Iowa Code 657A, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by B & B Lawn Care, Inc.,
in conjunction with the 2022-2023 Residential/Miscellaneous Areas Snow Removal
Contract for city owned lots generally acquired through Iowa Code 657A, are hereby
approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of November 2022.
