1. Magellan's estimates for the Fiber -to -the -Premise (FTTP) design proposal from
November 2021, were estimated based off an assumed 309-miles of FTTP
underground design. These 309-miles were estimated from a combination of road
center line mileage as well as other factors.
A. Final FTTP design distances were 391-miles, or 82-miles more than estimated due
to several reasons:
a. Lack of ability to use existing City conduit as originally assumed.
b. Longer fiber distribution design requirements, especially in and along the outer
edges of the city — where there are longer distances required to connect less
premises/customers.
c. Less rear lot access than originally assumed.
B. Per agreement, all Design, Engineering and Permitting is billed at $1.30 per foot
for any work over and above stated distances.
FTTP Change Order Design Cost: $561,610.40
Total FTTP PE Stamp: $95,117.50
Total FTTP Change Order: $656,727.90
C. Travel costs were higher than anticipated due to the increased mileage at a cost o
