On Proposed Plans, Specifications, Form
or Contract, and Estimate of Cost For the
PAVE ARFF PARKING LOT
FAA AIP 3-19-0094-055 (CARES DEV)
AT THE WATERLOO
REGIONAL AIRPORT
In the City of Waterloo, Iowa
RECEIVING OF BIDS
Sealed proposals will be received by the
City Clerk of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, at
her office in the City Hall of the said City
on the 15th day of December 2022, until
1 00 p.m. for the reconstruction of Pave
ARFF Packing Lot - FAA AIP
3-19-0094-055 (CARES DEV) as descri-
bed in detail in the plans and specifica-
tions now on file in the Office of the City
Clerk.
OPENING OF BIDS
All proposals received will be opened in
the First Floor Conference Room at City
Hall, in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on the
15th day of December 2022, a1 1:00 p.m..
and the proposals will be acted upon at
such later time and place as may then be
fixed.
PRE-B10 MEETING
A pre -bid meeting for this project will not
be held. Bidders are encouraged to
contact the Airport Director, Keith Kas-
pan, at (319) 291-4483 to schedule a Site
review.
PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Council of
said City will conduct a public hearing on
the proposed plans, specffications, form
of contract, and estimate of cost for the
construction of the above -described im-
provement project at 5:30 p.m. on the
19th day of December, 2022, said hearing
to be held in the Harold E. Getty Council
Chambers in City Hall in said City. The
proposed plans, specifications, form of
contract, and estimate of cost for said
improvements heretofore prepared by
AECOM are now on file in the office of the
City Clerk for public examination, and any
person interested therein may file written
objection thereto with the City Clerk
before the date set for said hearing, or
appear and make objection thereto with
the City Clerk before the date set for said
hearing, or appear and make objection
thereto at the meeting above set forth.
SCOPE OF WORK
The work to be performed in this project
shall include the :following described
improvements at the Waterloo Regional
Airport, Waterloo, Iowa:
SCOPE OF WORK
The project for the improvements at the
Waterloo Regional Airport, Waterloo,
Iowa, FAA 3-19-0094-055 (CARES DEV),
Pave ARFF Parking Lot consists of 1,206
square yards of paved parking lot located
between Hangar No. 4 and the ARFF
Station alongside updates to existing
utilities. This project includes removal and
replacement of a storm intake and pipe;
replacement of bollards; installation of
loop detectors, access card reader and
associated electrical circuits; installation
and initial maintenance of sod; erosion
control measures to be maintained during
construction. The purpose of this project
is to replace the gravel lot with a paved lot
to allow for better snow removal and
provide a parking area for both Hangar
No. 4 and the ARFF Station.
