RESOLUTION NO. 2023-004
RESOLUTION AWARDING BID TO LODGE CONSTRUCTION,
INC., OF CLARKSVILLE, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$523,353.00, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE SOUTH STREET
AND WEST 9TH STREET MINI -ROUNDABOUT PROJECT,
IOWA DOT GRANT PROJECT NO. CS-TSF-8155(777)--85-07,
APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BOND AND CERTIFICATE OF
INSURANCE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, Lodge Construction, Inc., of Clarksville, Iowa, submitted a bid in the
amount of $523,353.00, in conjunction with the South Street and West 9th Street Mini -
Roundabout Project, Iowa DOT Grant Project No. CS-TSF-8155(777)--85-07, and is the
apparent low bidder.
WHEREAS, Lodge Construction, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond and certificate
of insurance, in conjunction with the South Street and West 9th Street Mini -Roundabout Project,
Iowa DOT Grant Project No. CS-TSF-8155(777)--85-07.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the bid of Lodge Construction, Inc., in the amount of $523,353.00, in conjunction
with the South Street and West 9th Street Mini -Roundabout Project, Iowa DOT Grant Project
No. CS-TSF-8155(777)--85-07, is hereby accepted and the bid is hereby awarded to Lodge
Construction, Inc.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Lodge Construction,
Inc., in conjunction with the South Street and West 9th Street Mini -Roundabout Project, Iowa
DOT Grant Project No. CS-TSF-8155(777)--85-07, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the
City of Waterloo, Iowa
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of January 2023.
