The Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, met in a Planning Session in the Harold E. Getty Council Chambers,
City Hall, at 5:30 p.m., on Monday, January 30, 2023. Mayor Quentin Hart in the Chair. Roll Call: Boesen,
Nichols, Chiles, Grieder, Wilder, and Feuss. Ms. Wilder participated via Zoom.
Prayer or Moment of Silence.

OTHER COUNCIL BUSINESS
Discussion of the FY2024 budget.
January 30, 2023 Page 2
Bridgett Wood, Finance Manager, provided council with an updated timeline for the FY24 Tentative
Budget. She explained that they are waiting on a decision by legislation regarding the Multi -
Residential Property Class, as well as the EMA Levy decision at the county level, before they can
finish calculating levy rates.
Council shared their thoughts on the budget with Mayor and Bridgett Wood.
Live meeting test run of CivicClerk.
Kelley Felchle, City Clerk, provided a brief explanation of the purpose of this live test run using the
new CivicClerk platform. She explained to the public that the items on this mock agenda have
previously been voted on by council and any votes cast tonight will have no effect on the previous
outcome of those items.
