RESOLUTION NO. 2023-067
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO K&W
ELECTRIC OF CEDAR FALLS, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$25,740.00, AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS,
AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE IMPROVEMENTS TO HANGAR 3-A, FOR
LIVINGSTON AVIATION, AT WATERLOO REGIONAL
AIRPORT, VIA FAA AIP PROJECT NO. 3-19-0094-0048
(CARES MAINTENANCE), AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, K & W Electric, Inc., of Cedar Falls, Iowa, submitted a bid in the amount of
$25,740.00, in conjunction with the Improvements to Hangar 3-A, for Livingston Aviation, at
Waterloo Regional Airport, via FAA AIP Project No. 3-19-0094-0048 (CARES Maintenance),
and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, K & W Electric, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of
insurance, in conjunction with the Improvements to Hangar 3-A, for Livingston Aviation, at
Waterloo Regional Airport, via FAA Al? Project No. 3-19-0094-0048 (CARES Maintenance).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of K & W Electric, Inc., in the amount of $25,740.00, in conjunction with
the Improvements to Hangar 3-A, for Livingston Aviation, at Waterloo Regional Airport,
via FAA AIP Project No. 3-19-0094-0048 (CARES Maintenance), is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by K & W Electric, Inc., in
conjunction with the Improvements to Hangar 3-A, for Livingston Aviation, at Waterloo
Regional Airport, via FAA AIP Project No. 3-19-0094-0048 (CARES Maintenance), are
hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
