RESOLUTION NO. 2023-068
RESOLUTION APPROVING ACKNOWLEDGMENT/SETTLEMENT
AGREEMENT FOR TOBACCO VIOLATION -1ST OFFENSE, JIM'S
FOOD, 437 SULLIVAN AVENUE, WATERLOO, IOWA 50701, AND
ACCEPTING CIVIL PENALTY IN THE AMOUNT OF $300.00, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
SAID DOCUMENT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that
the Acknowledgment/Settlement Agreement, dated February 6, 2023, for the first violation -
affirmative defense for sale of tobacco to a minor, between Jim's Food, 437 Sullivan Avenue,
Waterloo, Iowa 50701 and the City of Waterloo, Iowa is hereby approved, and the Mayor is
authorized and directed to execute said document on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of February 2023.
