RESOLUTION NO. 2023-090
RESOLUTION AWARDING BID TO ADVANCED
ENVIRONMENTAL, INC., OF WATERLOO, IOWA IN THE
AMOUNT OF $19,800.00, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
ASBESTOS ABATEMENT SERVICES, CONTRACT NO. AB-
2023-02-04P, FOR PROPERTIES LOCATED AT 1804 E. 4TH
STREET, 207 LAFAYETTE STREET, 208 SUNNYSIDE
AVENUE, AND 637 ANKENY STREET, AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, Advanced Environmental, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid
in conjunction with Asbestos Abatement Services Contract No. AB-2023-02-04P, for properties
located at 1804 E. 4th Street, 207 Lafayette Street, 208 Sunnyside Avenue, and 637 Ankeny
Street, in the amount of $19,800.00, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Advanced Environmental, Inc. submitted a written contract, bond and
certificate of insurance, per city specifications, in conjunction with said abatement survey
services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the bid of Advanced Environmental, Inc., in the amount of $19,800.00,
in conjunction with Asbestos Abatement Services Contract No. AB-2023-02-04P, for properties
located at 1804 E. 4th Street, 207 Lafayette Street, 208 Sunnyside Avenue, and 637 Ankeny
Street, is hereby accepted and awarded to Advanced Environmental, Inc.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Advanced
Environmental Testing and Abatement, Inc., in the amount of $19,800.00, in conjunction with
Asbestos Abatement Services Contract No. AB-2023-02-04P, for properties located at 1804 E.
4th Street, 207 Lafayette Street, 208 Sunnyside Avenue, and 637 Ankeny Street, are hereby
approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of February 2023.
