RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING TO BE GIVEN ON APPLICATION OF
AREA RESIDENTS , TO REZONE FROM "R-4" MULTIPLE FAMILY
RESIDENCE DISTRICT TO "R-2" ONE & TWO FAMILY RESIDENCE
DISTRICT A PARCEL OF LAND GENERALLY LOCATED ON KAPLAN
DRIVE BETWEEN HAMMOND AVENUE & BETHEL STREET, AS SEPTEMBER
13 , AT 7 : 00 P.M. IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS IN CITY HALL
AND INSTRUCTING CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF HEARING.
WHEREAS , the Council of the City of Waterloo , Iowa , shall
meet in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of
Waterloo , Iowa at 7 : 00 P.M. on the 13 day of September, 1982 for the
purpose of considering and acting upon an application of area
residents to rezone from "R-4" Multiple Family Residence District
to "R-2 " One & Two Family Residence District a parcel of land
generally located on Kaplan Drive between Hammond Avenue & Bethel
Street and legally described as follows :
Beginning at the NW corner of Lot 3 (three) Southridge Terrace
Addition said point being 370 Ft East of the Center line
Hammond Ave ; thence , East to the NE corner of tract A; thence
South along the East Line of tract A and it ' s southerly
extension a distance of 600 Ft ; thence , West along a line 300
Ft south of and parallel with the South line of Southridge
Terrace Addition to a point 410 FT East of the center line of
Hammond Ave ; thence North parallel with Hammond Ave a distance
300 Ft ; thence West a distance of 40 Ft to the SW corner of Lot
32 Southridge Terrace Addition ; thence North 300 Ft to the
point of beginning .
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO , IOWA
that the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the
time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier.
Passed and adopted this 23 day of August , 1982.
