` " BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA :
that the bid of Concrete Foundations , Inc. , for the FY 1982 East
San Marnan at Sears Street & Penneys Street Improvements „
Contract No. 230, in the City of Waterloo , Iowa , filed with the
City Clerk in accordance with the terms of the published notice
calling for proposals for the construction of the said
improvement , be, and the same is hereby, accepted, the bid of
Concrete Foundations , Inc . in the amount of $ 142 , 214. 49 , being the
lowest legal bid received on said proposal , and that the contract
be awarded to Concrete Foundations , Inc. , and

q BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and
they are hereby , authorized , instructed and ordered to enter into
a contract on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa , for the
construction of the said improvement with the said Concrete
Foundations , Inc . , but said contract shall not be binding upon
said City until the same has been duly approved by the Council .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all other bids for said
improvements be and they are hereby , rejected , and the City Clerk
is hereby authorized and directed to return unto the persons
filing the same the certified checks accompanying such rejected
bids .
Passed and adopted this 23 day of August , 1982.
