0 n H A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO EFFECTIVE AUGUST 31 , 1982 , THE ASSUMPTION OF OPERATION AND
MAINTENANCE RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE FLOOD PROTECTION DEVICES
a - CONSTRUCTED AS STAGE III-E OF THE CORPS OF ENGINEERS LOCAL FLOOD
o CONTROL PROJECT.

E- E-f1` WHEREAS , the Corps of Engineers contractor has completed the
He construction of all the facilities required for Stage III-E of the
7" : : I-1HE Local Flood Control Project ; and
WHEREAS , said facilities have been inspected and approved by
representatives of the City of Waterloo ; and

-i4 • WHEREAS , the contract between the Corps of Engineers and the
City of Waterloo requires formal transfer of the assumption of
'71E. operation and maintenance responsibilities of said facilities ; and

,571 WHEREAS, THE Corps of Engineers has P 9 proposed the date of August
r31 , 1982, as the date for the transfer of said responsibilities for
Stage III-E .

trl NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
o OF WATERLOO, IOWA that ;

r. 1 . The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept on behalf of the
City of Waterloo effective August 31 , 1982, the assumption of
operation and maintenance responsiblities for the flood protection
devices constructed bythe Corps of Engineers as Stage III -E of the

Local Flood Control Project .

2 . A copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Corps of
Engineers .
Passed and adopted this 23 day of August , 1982.
