RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA AS THE WATERLOO HOUSING AUTHORITY, ADOPTING A NEW SCHEDULE OF TENANT INCOME LIMITS FOR ADMISSION TO ITS ELDERLY PUBLIC HOUSING PROJECT RIDGEWAY TOWERS, IA-50-3 • WHEREAS, the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has issued a recommendation to increase the income limits for admission to public housing projects; and, WHEREAS, the Waterloo Housing Authority believes the recommended income limits to be necessary for the continued successful operation of the project; and, WHEREAS, the Waterloo Housing Authority would have to engage in a large scale and scientifically valid housing survey in order to prove the need for higher income limits than those recommended by HUD; and, WHEREAS, there is no preliminary evidence to suggest that the survey, with all its attendant cost, would prove such a need, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, as the Waterloo Housing Authority, adopts the HUD recommended income limits for admission to Ridgeway Towers, IA-50-3, said recommended income limits are attached and by reference are made a part of this resolution.
