RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THE ADOPTION OF THE
METROPOLITAN 2000 TRANSPORTATION PLAN .

WHEREAS , metropolitan land use and growth trends have been
re-evaluated and forecast to the year 2000 , and
WHEREAS , the Metropolitan Transportation Plan has been
re-assessed to determine updated travel demands through a
continuing and comprehensive process which reflects the City ' s
existing and future development , and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Transportation Policy Board and
its Technical Committee have evaluated several alternative plans
and recommend Alternate E as the basis for an updated 2000
Metropolitan Transportation Plan .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED that the Waterloo City
Council hereby recommends that the Transporation Policy Board
adopt a 2000 Metropolitan Transporation Plan based on Alternate E
to best serve the City ' s existing and future transporation needs ,
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City will participate toward
the implementation of th Metropolitan Transportation Plan through
the review and development of street and highway projects within
its jurisdiction .
Passed and adopted this 28th day of June , 1982 .
