IOWA , AS THE WATERLOO HOUSING AUTHORITY , ADOPTING SUB-
MISS--ION OF APPLICATION NO. TWO ( 2 ) TO HUD FOR COMPRE-
HENSIVE IMPROVEMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FUNDS FOR MONDERNI -
m ;r ZATION OF RIDGEWAY TOWERS , IA-50-3.

�. !:_lHER-EAS , the U . S. Department of Housing and Urban
Developmenthas announced the availability of funds for
iiprovements to the existing public housing stock ; and
-- WHEREAS, Ridgeway Towers , IA-50-3, is eligible to apply for
these funds and has various physical improvement needs to insure
tine long teem viability of the project ;

NOWiT, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that submission of an application seeking
Comprehensive Improvement Assistance Program funds in the amount
of $169,850 as outlined in the attached Comprehensive Assessment
of Physical and Management Improvement Needs is approved and
adopt,ed . .„,

BE TT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council will , at a
later date and contingent upon approval of the application by HUD ,
amend the Annual Contributions Contract No. KC-3047 in accordance
with federal regulations .
