NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE
FY2019-2023 COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT 5-YEAR
CONSOLIDATED PLAN
Notice is hereby given that on the 18th
day of October, 2022 a14:00 p.m. a public
hearing via zoom meeting during the
regular board meeting of the Community
Development Department will be held In
lieu of an in -person meeting. If you would
like to attend the virtual public hearing,
please contact the Community Develop-
ment Office at 319-291-4429 and the
zoom meeting Information will be emailed
to you.
This public hearing is being held for an
amendment to the FY19-FY23 5-Year
Consolidated Plan for the CO o1 Waterloo
to re -program unused funds that were
initially intended for rent/mortgage assis-
tance, small buslnesslmicroenterprise as-
sistance and emergency repairs In the
amount of S207,000. The amendment will
allow the unused funds to be re -allocated
to public facility, rehabilitation and public
service projects for the purpose of
preventing, preparing tor, and responding
to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A 30-day comment period from Septem-
ber 16th thru October 17th will be held
and all comments received v411 be
considered and included in the substantial
amendment.
Public Notice regarding future amend-
ments to the Consolidated Plan and
subsequent public hearings will be printed
in local newspapers and posted online on
the City of Waterloo Community Develop-
ment websile.
