RESOLUTION NO. 2023-137
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO K & W
ELECTRIC, INC., OF CEDAR FALLS, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $164,500.00, APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2023 AIRPORT CCTV
PROJECT FOR THE AIRLINE PASSENGER TERMINAL
BUILDING - FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION
AIRPORT IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM, PROJECT NO. 3-19-
0094-0054, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, K & W Electric, Inc., of Cedar Falls, Iowa, submitted a bid in the amount of
$164,500.00, in conjunction with the FY 2023 Airport CCTV Project for the Airline Passenger
Terminal Building - Federal Aviation Administration Airport Improvement Program, Project
No. 3-19-0094-0054, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, K & W Electric, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of
insurance, in conjunction with the FY 2023 Airport CCTV Project for the Airline Passenger
Terminal Building - Federal Aviation Administration Airport Improvement Program, Project
No. 3-19-0094-0054.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of K & W Electric, Inc., in the amount of $164,500.00, in conjunction with
the FY 2023 Airport CCTV Project for the Airline Passenger Terminal Building - Federal
Aviation Administration Airport Improvement Program, Project No. 3-19-0094-0054, is
hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by K & W Electric, Inc., in
conjunction with the FY 2023 Airport CCTV Project for the Airline Passenger Terminal
Building - Federal Aviation Administration Airport Improvement Program, Project No. 3-
19-0094-0054, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of March 2023.
