ei , RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION OF

H ` AN APPLICATION FOR RENTAL REHABILITATION ASSISTANCE FOR
FISCAL 1989 TO THE U. S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN
DEVELOPMENT FOR FEDERAL ASSISTANCE UNDER SECTION 17 OF
O "" o . r THE UNITED STATES HOUSING ACT OF 1937.
~ Pr-WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo desires to use the Rental
Rehabilitation Program which was enacted into law in Section 201
of the Housing and Urban-Rural Recovery Act of 1983 , and
WHEREAS, the Rental Rehabilitation Program sets forth a
program for Waterloo to use, and provides funds for such programs
to assist property owners and tenants .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Application for Federal
Assistance under Section 17 , of the United States Housing Act of
1937 is hereby approved, and that the Mayor is hereby authorized
to execute the appropriate forms and forward the Application to
the Department of Housing and Urban Development for their review
and approval.
