6" H c7 RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA AS THE WATERLOO HOUSING AUTHORITY AUTHORIZING ITS
o MANAGING AGENT, THE WATERLOO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO MAKE
x ^ APPLICATION TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN
~ ` DEVELOPMENT (HUD) FOR FIFTY ( 50 ) UNITS OF SECTION 8
° 0 HOUSING VOUCHERS.

WHEREAS, the Waterloo Housing Authority has conducted a
public hearing on February 6, 1989 regarding this application, and
WHEREAS, no written or oral objections to the application
were filed or submitted prior to or at the Public Hearing, and
WHEREAS, the Waterloo Housing Authority was instructed by
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to apply for
fifty ( 50 ) units of Section 8 Housing Vouchers , and
WHEREAS, the Waterloo Housing Authority has been advised in
contacts from the Department of Housing and Urban Development that
the Authority could apply for no more than fifty ( 50 ) units of
Section 8 Housing Vouchers, and
WHEREAS, the application is consistent with the needs and
objectives of the Housing Assistance Plans of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that majority approval of the proposed
program within its jurisdiction be granted based upon the
requirements of Section 403A. 5 of the Iowa Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that submission of an application for a
total of fifty ( 50) units of Section 8 Housing Vouchers is hereby
approved and adopted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of February, 1989 , approved
by the Mayor Pro Tem this 8th day of February, 1989 .
