BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:

That the bid of Don Gardner Construction Company of Waterloo,
Iowa, in the amount of $297, 235 . 00 , and alternate bid in the
-u amount of $41, 495 . 00 if the Recreation and Arts Commission is able
to raise the additional monies within 30 days, for the
construction of the Lecture Hall/Gallery Addition for the Waterloo
Recreation and Arts Center, described in the plans and
specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said
project, after public hearing on published notice required by law,
be and is hereby accepted, the same being the lowest bid received
for said work.
The Mayor Pro Tem and Clerk are hereby directed to execute
contract with the said contractor for the construction of said
improvements , said contract not to be binding on the City until
approved by this Council.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of February, 1989 .
