HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-037-02.06.1989 RESOLUTION NO. 1989-37 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SITE PLAN AMENDMENT FOR ALABAR PLAZA OFFICE COMPLEX ON ALABAR AVENUE AND LINBUD LANE, IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA. WHEREAS, Alabar Plaza has proposed that the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, approve a site plan amendment for the Alabar Plaza Office Complex for eight additional parking spaces , and legally described as follows: The tract of land described as: Commencing at a point 30 . 06 feet North of the NW corner of the NW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section 28 , Township 89 North, Range 13 West of the Fifth P.M. , in Black Hawk County, Iowa, thence North 286 . 29 feet; thence East 305 feet; thence South 286 . 29 feet; thence West 303 . 8 feet to the place of beginning, containing two acres more or less, all lying and situated in the SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section No. 21 , Township 89 North, Range 13 West of the 5th P.M. , excepting all legal highways; and, also, The West one-half ( 1/2 ) of the following described property: The East Thirty ( 30) feet of the West Forty-five ( 45) feet of that part of Janney Avenue lying North of the South line of vacated Hartman Avenue and lying South of a line described as beginning at a point on the West line of said East Thirty ( 30 ) feet of West Forty-five ( 45 ) feet of said Janney Avenue, said point lying One Hundred Forty-two and Eighty-six Hundredths ( 142 . 86) feet North of the South line of vacated Hartman Avenue; thence Southeasterly to a point on the East line of said East Thirty ( 30 ) feet of West Forty-five ( 45 ) feet of said Janney Avenue, said point lying One Hundred Fifty-seven ( 157 ) feet radially distant and Southwesterly of the centerline of U.S. Highway No. 218 as described in L.D. 491 page 369, Black Hawk County Recorder ' s Office. WHEREAS, a public hearing was waived by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, due to the insignificance of the nature of said mentioned site plan amendment, and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that said site plan amendment should be approved as proposed, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the site plan amendment for Alabar Plaza Office Complex, be and the same is hereby approved.
