j o j SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO HUD FOR COMPREHENSIVE
IMPROVEMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FUNDS FOR MODERNIZATION

E WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
has announced the availability of funds for improvements to the
existing public housing stock; and
WHEREAS, Ridgeway Towers IA-50-3 , is eligible to apply for
these funds and has window improvement needs to insure the long
term viability of the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that submission of an application seeking
Comprehensive Improvement Assistance Program funds in the amount
of $100 , 000 as outlined in the attached Preliminary Application is
approved and adopted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council will, at a later
date, and contingent upon approval of the application by HUD,
amend the Annual Contributions Contract No. KC-3047 in accordance
with federal regulations .
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of February, 1989, and
approved by the Mayor Pro Tem this 8th day of February, 1989 .
