RESOLUTION GRANTING A FIVE YEAR WAIVER TO PRAIRIE PARK
APARTMENT ASSOCIATION ON ALL ASSESSMENTS FOR STREET
IMPROVEMENTS TO WEST DONALD STREET AT 425 WEST DONALD
STREET.
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Waterloo City Council
on November 28, 1988 , the Council authorized the sale and
conveyance of the property at 425 West Donald Street to Prairie
Park Apartment Association, and
WHEREAS, Prairie Park Apartment Association was instructed by
the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to request a
five ( 5 ) year waiver from the City on all assessments for street
improvements to 425 West Donald Street prior to Department of
Housing and Urban Development' s approval of financing for the
purchase, and
WHEREAS, it is currently the City' s policy to not assess for
street improvements under Federal-aid or City street improvement
projects, and
WHEREAS, the widening of West Donald Street has been proposed
under the Interstate Substitution Program, but funding for this
project is not available at this time.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that a five year waiver to Prairie Park
Apartment Association on all assessments for street improvements
at 425 West Donald Street, be and the same is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of February, 1989`.
