- WHEREAS, Woodland Pattern Company located at 848 Rainbow
n Drive has requested a waiver of the building moratorium on
Relocated 218 Highway Corridor, and
:
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the 13th day of March,
1989; at 7: 00 p.m. at City Hall Council Chambers, Waterloo, Iowa,
_ as provided by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
on the request to approve above mentioned request; and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that said waiver
of moratorium on Relocated Highway 218 Corridor be approved as
requested.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the waiver to the moratorium on
Relocated Highway 218 Corridor as requested by Woodland Pattern
Company located at 848 Rainbow Drive, be and the same is hereby
approved subject to the following conditions:
1. The rear area be treated the same as the front roof
line, as it will be seen from the elevated freeway.
- (Use same material and the same theme. )
c ‹ 2. Decorative block should be used to screen the pallet
c • storage in the rear of the building.

- 3 . The colors as presented for the block, brick, soffit and
painting are accepted as presented.
4. Because of limited site and concrete block construction,
it is recommended that Boston Ivy be used as landscaping
theme.
5. It is recommended a review visit be conducted after the
highway is placed and parking and grading are completed
to make additional landscape recommendations.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of March, 1989.
