RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING TO BE
GIVEN ON APPLICATION OF WAYNE CLAASSEN TO REZONE FROM
"A-1" AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT TO "M-2,P" PLANNED
INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT THE FOLLOWING PARCELS OF LAND
GENERALLY LOCATED NORTH OF REMINGTON ROAD ON THE EAST
SIDE OF NORTH ELK RUN ROAD, AND ON THE NORTH SIDE OF
NEWELL STREET IMMEDIATELY EAST OF THE CHICAGO
NORTHWESTERN RAILROAD TRACKS, AND ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF
NEWELL STREET APPROXIMATELY ONE-QUARTER MILE EAST OF
NORTH ELK RUN ROAD, AND 200 FEET EAST OF NORTH ELK RUN
ROAD BETWEEN THE CHICAGO AND NORTHWESTERN RAILROAD AND
THE CENTRAL STATES WAREHOUSE DRIVE, AND 200 FEET EAST OF
NORTH ELK RUN ROAD AND SOUTH OF THE CENTRAL STATES
WAREHOUSE DRIVE, AS APRIL 10, 1989, AT 7: 00 P.M. IN THE
COUNCIL CHAMBERS IN CITY HALL AND INSTRUCTING CLERK TO
PUBLISH NOTICE OF HEARING.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall
meet in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, at 7: 00 p.m. on the 10th day of April, 1989 , for
the purpose of considering and acting upon an application of
Wayne Claassen to rezone from "A-1" Agricultural District to
"M-2,P" Planned Industrial District the following properties:
Property generally located north of Remington Road on the
east side of North Elk Run Road, and legally described as
follows:
The North Two Hundred ( 200 ) feet of the Southwest Quarter (SW
1/4) of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4 ) of Section No. Fifteen
( 15 ) , Township Eighty-nine North (T89N) , Range Twelve West
(R12W) , all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa;
and also property generally located on the north side of
Newell Street immediately east of the Chicago Northwestern
Railroad tracks, and legally described as follows:
That part of the East One-half (E 1/2 ) of the Southwest
Quarter (SW 1/4 ) of Section No. Fifteen ( 15) , Township
Eighty-nine North (T89N) , Range Twelve West (R12W) lying
South of the Chicago and Northwestern Transportation Co.
right of way, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County,
Iowa;
and also property generally located on the south side of
Newell Street approximately one-quarter mile east of North
Elk Run Road, and legally described as follows:

notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo
Courier.
