RESOLUTION APPROVING PERMANENT EASEMENT FROM THE
NATIONAL DAIRY CATTLE CONGRESS, INC. FOR PROPERTY
GENERALLY LYING BETWEEN RAINBOW DRIVE AND THE FLOOD
CONTROL DIKE ALONG THE CEDAR RIVER.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the permanent easement from the
National Dairy Cattle Congress, Inc. for property generally lying
between Rainbow Drive and the flood control dike along the Cedar
River is necessary for ingress and egress purposes in conjunction
with Relocated Highway 218 for the following described property:
A parcel of land located in the NW 1/4 NW 1/4 Section 22 ; the
NE 1/4 NE 1/4 of Section 21; the SE 1/4 SE 1/4 of Section 16
all in Township 89 North, Range 13 West of the 5th P.M. ,
Black Hawk County, Iowa, described as: A strip of land 10 . 0
feet on both sides of a line described as beginning at the
point of intersection of the proposed northerly right of way
line of Rainbow Drive and the Center of the main entrance to
Cattle Congress; thence N 3°12-1/2 ' E 305 . 3 feet; thence S
87°49-1/2 ' E 156 .7 feet; thence N 0°14 ' E 530 . 3 feet; thence
N 87°54-1/2 ' W 779. 0 feet; thence N 78°39-1/2 ' W 816. 6 feet;
thence N 63°15 ' W 788 .7 feet in the City of Waterloo, Black
Hawk County, Iowa.
NOTE: All bearings stated above are referred to the north
line of NE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section 21 , Township 89
North, Range 13 West of the 5th P.M. , bearing S 89°37 ' E.
