E; ,.3 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY PLANNER/TRANSPORTATION
s s p PROGRAM MANAGER TO APPROVE CERTAIN CHANGE ORDERS IN
CONJUNCTION WITH CERTAIN CITY STREET CONSTRUCTION
PROJECTS.
•
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa is in the midst of a
vigorous street construction program; and
c„ WHEREAS, from time to time, change orders are presented for
m , City Council approval for various construction projects; and
WHEREAS, the time required for said ap
proval process is
costly in terms of construction time and increased project costs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the City Planner/Transportation
Program Manager be and the same hereby authorized to approve
change orders relating to street construction projects herein
described:
1 . Those change orders that decrease project costs; or
2 . Those change orders that would result in benefit to both
the City of Waterloo and the contractor; or

3 . Those change orders that are g justified, but do not
s exceed $20, 000 . 00 .
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of April, 1989 .
