PERMITTED USE IN AN "R-4" MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENCE

WHEREAS, Joel Harris has requested the City of Waterloo allow
the operation of a carpet cleaning service at 1321 West Fourth
' Street; and

,, WHEREAS, said property is zoned "R-4" Multiple Family
Residence District; and
WHEREAS, the Waterloo Zoning Ordinance, Ordinance No. 2479 ,
as amended, does not list as a principal permitted use in the
"R-4" Multiple Family Residence District designation said use; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning, Programming and Zoning Commission
has reviewed said request; and
WHEREAS, said Planning, Programming and Zoning Commission has
recommended that the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
approve an office for carpet and furniture cleaning at 1321 West
Fourth Street as a principal permitted use in an "R-4" Multiple
Family Residence District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that an office for carpet and furniture
cleaning at 1321 West Fourth Street for Joel Harris be and the
same is hereby approved as a principal permitted use in this "R-4"
Multiple Family Residence District zoning classification.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of May, 1989 .
