WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has
i adopted Ordinance No. 3441 on June 9, 1986 , an Ordinance amending
the Traffic Code by adding Subsection 102 , Temporary Traffic Sign
' Signals and Markings, and
WHEREAS, said ordinance allows temporary changes in speed
limits by Council resolution when reasonably necessary because of
construction, reconstruction, maintenance, safety or natural
disaster, and the posting of signs indicating said changes.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the speed limit on University Avenue
be and the same hereby reduced from 45 mph to 30 mph from Sager
Avenue to Wallgate Avenue, in conjunction with Ansborough Avenue,
IX-6615( 7) --79-07.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Sign and Traffic Department
be instructed to cause signs to be erected indicating said change
in speed limits.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of May, 1989 .
