H RESOLUTION NO. 1989-230 r v, Gj E-' `• H RESOLUTION MAKING ASSESSMENT FOR STOPPING OF FLOW OF H H �' O o WATER AND PREVENTION OF FURTHER DAMAGE AT 1815 EAST 4TH • s r STREET, IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA. WHEREAS, the Board of Water Works Trustees of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, did, as provided by law, notify by written notice the property owner of the premises known as 1815 East 4th Street c,;to have the water flow stopped and further damage prevented, and w WHEREAS, the property owner failed to comply with the order of the Board of Water Works Trustees as by law provided, and WHEREAS, the Board of Water Works Trustees proceeded to have the work done on the premises described as 1815 East 4th Street, in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, to comply with Ordinance No. 1118 of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and, WHEREAS, the Board of Water Works Trustees filed with the City Clerk on the 9th day of May, 1989 , a report filing claim for the stopping of water and preventing further damage at above described premises and same meet all the requirements of the City ordinance and have been fully completed, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the said report of the Board of Water Works Trustees be, and the same is hereby, approved; that the work was done under and by virtue hereby, accepted, and that the cost of said work is hereby determined to be as follows, which amount can be assessed over a ten-year period against the property: Barbara Sykes, Owners 1815 East 4th Street, Waterloo, Iowa Legal Description: Lot No. Four ( 4 ) in Block No. Two ( 2 ) in Ricker and Bratnober ' s Addition in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa. Unpaid Assessment: $890 . 24 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there be, and are hereby assessed and levied as special tax and assessment against the property improved, described as 1815 East 4th Street in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, the amount of $890. 24, said assessment shall bear interest from the date of levy of the assessment, viz : May 15, 1989, at the rate of twelve ( 12 ) percent per annum until paid on all the unpaid amount of this assessment certified to the County Treasurer of Black Hawk County, Iowa, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and he is hereby instructed to notify Barbara Sykes of said property, accordingly and also instructed to certify said assessment to the County Treasurer of Black Hawk County, Iowa, to be entered upon the tax list to be collected as other taxes, as provided by law, and when collected to be credited to the Water Works Fund of said City, and assessment to be made over a ten-year period.
